Mohammedan Sporting Club Continues Unbeaten Streak in Dhaka Premier League

Mohammedan Sporting Club is flying high in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). The unbeaten side picked up their fourth straight win after completely outclassing Bashundhara Strikers by 10 wickets in a one-sided contest.

After taking a five-wicket haul in the previous game, pacer Mrittunjoy Chowdhury delivered another stunning spell, this time grabbing six wickets to blow Bashundhara away for just 80 runs.

Mohammedan Bowlers Dominate Bashundhara

At BKSP Ground No. 2, Mohammedan captain Towhid Hridoy won the toss and chose to field first. His bowlers backed that decision perfectly. Bashundhara’s innings never really got going. They lost opener Saif Hassan in the very first over, and things only got worse from there. After two maiden overs, the side lost their second wicket with just one run on the board.

Wickets kept falling at regular intervals, leaving captain Nurul Hasan Sohan trying to hold the innings together almost alone. He fought for a while and scored 29 off 41 balls, but once he departed, Bashundhara’s last bit of resistance disappeared too.

Only Al Amin and Aminul Islam managed to reach double figures besides Sohan. Bashundhara were eventually bowled out for just 80 in 23.5 overs.

Mrittunjoy Shines with the Ball

Mrittunjoy was the star with the ball, finishing with remarkable figures of 6 wickets for 22 runs from 7.5 overs. Mohammad Saifuddin and Rishad Hossain chipped in with two wickets each. Saifuddin was especially economical, conceding only 10 runs in his five overs, including a maiden.

Mohammedan Chases Down Target with Ease

Chasing a tiny target, Mohammedan never looked troubled. They raced to 83 without losing a wicket in just 8.1 overs. Anamul Haque Bijoy led the charge with an unbeaten 50 off just 28 balls. Naim Sheikh stayed not out on 31 from 21 deliveries as Mohammedan wrapped up another dominant victory in style.
