“Of course they can, and they should play. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli both are experienced, and you need experience going into the ODI WC, which is only a year away,” Dhawan said in an interview with ANI, reinforcing confidence in two of India’s most decorated cricketers.
Rohit, who will be 40 during the 2027 World Cup, and Kohli, turning 38, retired from Test cricket in May 2024 and also stepped away from T20 Internationals.
